A Beautiful Day!

Greetings on this beautiful fall day. I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and take in the gorgeous fall scenery.

In Religion class today we talked about how everyone is our neighbor. We read the Good Samaritan story to illustrate this point. We also prayed the fourth decade of the Sorrowful Mysteries.

In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words, spelled and read short u words and contractions with is, and used our sight words in sentences. We also partner read two stories: one from our decodable reader and our story from yesterday. We also read a nonfiction piece about homes and completed pages in our close reading companion. Finally, we practiced writing plural nouns.

In Math class today we looked at pictures and wrote subtraction number sentences based on the pictures. They did really well with this.

This afternoon a lady from the Step by Step Learning program joined us to model a lesson. We will begin using this program in the coming days. I am so proud of how well the students worked during this period.

After our lesson, we headed outside for gym. It was hard to come back inside.

Have a great night!
