Sequencing Practice!

Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is doing well!

In Religion class today we wrapped up our chapter on the visit from the three wise men. We reviewed how they followed the star to see Jesus and how they brought him gifts. We also talked about the gifts we can give Jesus.

We continued our week of learning in Language Arts. We reviewed the oral vocabulary words we learned yesterday and then learned three more words (enormous, delighted, responsibility). Next, we worked on retelling as we listened to a folktale. Following that, we used our letter tiles to spell and read words with the vowel variant oo and u. Then, we learned how to spell and read words with inflectional endings when the final letter is doubled. After that, we practiced using our sight words in sentences. We wrapped up our morning focused on comprehension; this week our focus skill is sequence. So we reread A Look at Breakfast and our decodable reader and sequenced the events from both of them.

This afternoon in Language Arts we practiced using contractions with the word not in sentences.

In Math class, we took our chapter assessment on the addition and subtraction strategies to 20. Next, we will be measuring!

We ended our day with Spanish. Today we practiced the numbers to 20. We watched as numbers disappeared from the screen. We had to identify the missing number in both English and Spanish. The students loved this.

Have a great night!
