Greetings! Happy Thursday! Well, did we walk into a surprise today! The Easter Bunny visited our classroom last night and left baskets for the children. It did not take them long to start to explore those baskets. Their joy and excitement was contagious!
Once we got settled down from our big surprise, we started with our day of learning. In Religion class, we reviewed the events of Holy Week and created a picture cross to help us remember them.
Next, we created an Easter chick popping out of a basket. We then wrote about what Easter is. Aren't they cute?
After that, we had some fun in Math as we used jelly beans for various activities. We began by reviewing the colors of the jelly beans and how those colors can help remind us of the Easter story. We then used jelly beans to create a graph. Finally, we used the jelly beans to measure various objects.
After lunch, we watched It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown. The children really enjoyed it!
Here are pictures from our Easter egg writing project and our Good Friday pictures.
May you and your family have a blessed Easter. See you all on Tuesday!
