The Final Week of September!

Greetings! Happy Monday! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start. It is hard to believe that this is already the last full week in September.

In Religion class today, we talked about angels. We talked about how angels were created by God and are always with us.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts; this week we are reading about what friends do together. We began by learning two new oral vocabulary words (cooperate and relationship). We then worked on answering questions about a text as we read Friends All Around. Next, we learned how to blend and read short o words. We ended our morning by learning our new sight words (fun, make, they, too).

This afternoon in Language Arts we read Toss! Kick! Hop! which helped us practice our new skills that we learned this morning.

In Math class today, we began to learn subtraction strategies. Today, we focused on the meaning of subtraction - taking away. We used our linking cubes to act out subtraction stories. We began with a whole and took away a part. That left us with the other part.

Thank you for having the Chrome books charged. We took one STAR test; we have one more to go tomorrow.

Have a great night!
