Greetings! Happy Thursday! I will admit that it was a shock to see that snow today. I keep reminding myself that this is normal, but I do miss the nice weather. Hopefully everyone made it to and fro safely today.
In Religion class today we looked at the first seven Stations of the Cross. Afterwards, the students began coloring their own Stations booklet.
In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words. We also practiced reading long e words and compound words in addition to our sight words and vocabulary words. After that we partner read a story in our decodable reader booklets along with Koko and Penny, our story from yesterday. Following that we read a nonfiction piece about saving endangered gorillas and completed pages in our close reading companion. Finally, we practiced finding adverbs in sentences.
In Math class today we took our chapter test on the numbers to 40. Starting tomorrow we will learn how to add without regrouping.
Finally, it was time for Social Studies. We talked about the difference between goods and services. We sorted pictures based on whether it named a good or service. Finally, we drew examples of each.
Tomorrow will be a busy day to end the week. We have Mass, Library, Art, and a special surprise! Have a good night!
