Emotions

Greetings! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the first full week of November.

In Religion class today, we talked about emotions. We talked about different emotions we have and how these emotions affect our bodies. We talked about what to say and do when someone does something that makes us feel uncomfortable.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts; this week we will be reading about maps. We began by learning two new oral vocabulary words locate and route. Then, we worked on retelling as we read Me on the Map. Following that we learned how to blend and read words with the digraphs ch, tch, wh, and ph, words like chat, pitch, when, and graph. We ended our morning by learning our new sight words: around, by, many, place, walk.

This afternoon in Language Arts we read Which Way on the Map. We got to practice using our new phonics skills and got to read our sight words in sentences.

In Math class today, we reviewed addition to 20. We did a write the room activity. Students walked around, found a math problem, copied it, and then solved it. They love doing these things.

In Music class today, we learned the refrain to "God Has Made Us a Family".

Have a great night!
