Thanksgiving Lunch!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is doing well.

In Religion class today, we continued to learn about Moses. We talked about how God appeared to Moses in a burning bush. We also talked about how God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.

In Language Arts class, we answered questions using our oral vocabulary words, practiced reading words with the digraphs ch, tch, wh, and ph and words with the ending -es. We also spent time working on our fluency. We partner read a story from our decodable reader booklets and read a short story about map directions. Finally, we practiced writing irregular plural nouns.

In Math class today, we wrote fact families to help us solve subtraction sentences. I was quite pleased that we remember how to write fact families.

In Social Studies class today, we talked about different jobs people have in our community. We played a version of Head Bands. Students had to guess what job others were describing without looking at the picture. We had lots of fun with this!

The highlight of our day was our Thanksgiving lunch. We enjoyed eating turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes with our friends and watching the fifth grade play.

Have a great night!
