Making Sounds!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone had a great day!

In Religion class today, we wrapped up our chapter on Noah and Abraham. We also talked about what prophets were.

We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words and learned three new words (height, model, separate). Then we used our letter tiles to spell and read words with digraphs. Following that, we learned how to spell and read words with the inflectional ending –es. After that, we practiced using our sight words in sentences. We ended our morning focusing on comprehension. We reread Which Way on the Map and wrote about what we learned from the map along with its main idea and key details.

This afternoon in Language Arts we learned about irregular plural words, words like men, women, children, and people. We sorted words based on whether they were singular or plural.

In Math class, we switched our focus to subtraction. Today, we learned how to subtract by subtracting ones.

In Science class, we learned that sounds are made when something vibrates. We practiced making sounds of a thunderstorm and bouncy ball.

 Have a great night!
