Greetings! Happy Wednesday! I don't know about you but this week is just flying by. We are already halfway to Friday.
In Religion class today we talked about how Jesus is God's greatest gift to us. We discussed how Jesus welcomed the children and families who came to hear him teach.
Language Arts was full of learning today. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words, short i words, sight words, and words with final double consonants. We practiced reading the words and using the words in sentences. We also read a story from our decodable reader booklet. Finally, we read Go, Pip! a fantasy story about a squirrel's day in the city. After reading it, we completed pages in our close reading companion.
We continued to practice counting on in Math class today. The students played a game with a partner using number cards. They each picked a number and then counted on to find the sum. We then completed problems together on a worksheet.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Gym day!
