Wild About Learning!

Greetings! Happy Wednesday! Today was another hot day outside. But just like yesterday, we did not let the warm weather stop us from learning. 

In Religion class today we talked about Jesus as a young boy. We learned that he grew up in Nazareth with Mary and Joseph. We discovered that he did many things that we still do today like play games and help his parents. 

In Language Arts class today, we began with a review. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words, sight words, and short o words. We continued to practice putting words in ABC order. We then switched gears to focus on building our fluency and comprehension. We partner read a story in our decodable reader. We then read and discussed a nonfiction story called Friends. After reading that story, we completed pages in our close reading companion. Finally, we practiced telling the difference between questions and exclamations. 

We continued to learn about subtraction today in Math. Today we focused on using number bonds to help us solve problems. We first filled in the number bond and then used those numbers to write a number sentence. 

Please remember that tomorrow is Picture Day. Because of Picture Day, we will not have gym class.
