A Snowy Start!

Greetings! Welcome Back! I hope everyone enjoyed their four day weekend. The students were quite eager to tell me about their adventures. I loved hearing the excitement in the voices as they told their stories.

We began our day by attending Adoration. It was the perfect way to begin after a long break. We spent quiet time talking to Jesus asking him to help others and to help ourselves have a great day.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts. We learned two new oral vocabulary words (century and past). We worked on the skill of rereading as we read The Last Train. Next, we practiced blending and reading long o, long u, and long e words. After that we learned our new sight words. We ended the morning reading a nonfiction story called Life At Home. This afternoon in class we learned when to use the verbs is and are in a sentence.

In Math class today we reviewed how to measure objects using units. We completed several workbook pages to practice our skills.

Have a wonderful night!
