Being Like St. Nicholas!

Greetings! Happy Wednesday! I don't know about you, but this week is flying by!

In Religion class today we watched a video on the life of St. Nicholas. Afterwards, we talked about how he helped people and how we can help people too. We gave numerous ways we can help others in need.

In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words, segmented words into sounds, read long i words and plurals, and our sight words. We then worked on our fluency and comprehension. We partner read a story in our decodable reader booklets. We also read another play The Big Yuca Plant. The students really enjoyed reading the different character parts. After reading the play, we sequenced the events in the story.

This afternoon in Language Arts, we practiced using present tense verbs in sentences. We also practiced writing the titles of plays correctly.

In Math class today, we continued to work with number patterns. We practiced solving for the missing numbers in patterns using our linking cubes and number lines.

Have a great night!
