Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is doing well. We are almost through the first full week of 2026.
In Religion class today, we talked about gifts we could bring baby Jesus. We talked about physical things like coins and diamonds. We also talked about things we could do like sing a song, being kind to others, and loving others.
In Language Arts, we answered questions using our oral vocabulary words, spelled and read words with long vowels, read CVCe syllable words, and read our sight words. To help build our fluency and comprehension skills, we partner read a story in our decodable reader booklets. We also read a short nonfiction piece about the history of transportation. After that, we practiced using is and are in sentences. Finally, we wrote about what we can do to stay warm in the winter.
In Math class today, we practiced identifying the numbers from 40-120. We used our base ten blocks to show the numbers. And, we practiced spelling the numbers.
In Science class today, we used our flashlights to send messages to a friend. We shone the light on a color. The friend had to do the action associated with that color like wave or hop on one foot. We really enjoyed using our flashlights.
We ended our day with Social Studies. Today, we talked about different landforms. We created a shape book to help us remember them.
Don't forget we have Gym tomorrow. Have a great night!
