Long and Short Beats

Greetings! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is enjoying this winter thaw.

In Religion class today, we talked about how we can worship Jesus like the wise men did long ago. We talked about how we can go to church and Adoration and how we can even worship Jesus at home.

In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words, practiced reading long o, long u, and long e words, practiced reading multiple syllable words, and practiced reading our sight words. We also worked on our fluency and comprehension skills. We partner read a story from our decodable reader booklets. We also read Life Long Ago and Now. After reading that story we compared and contrasted life long ago to life today.

This afternoon in Language Arts, we practiced writing dates. We also wrote the steps in building a snowman.

In Math class today, we reviewed counting to 40. The students completed a write the room activity where they counted tens and ones to identify the number.

In Music class today, we talked about short and long beats. We created our own patterns and then performed them.

Have a great night!
