Greetings! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is enjoying their week!
We began our day with Religion class. Today we talked about what it means to be peacemakers. We learned that Jesus is calling us to be peacemakers in the world and that means we need to be kind and caring towards others.
In Language Arts, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words. We also practiced reading r-controlled -or words writing abbreviations for words. In addition, we reviewed our sight words and vocabulary words. Following that our focus switched to reading. We partner read a story in our decodable reading booklets. We then read and discussed Thomas Edison, Inventor. This afternoon we completed pages in our close reading companion to build our comprehension skills. We also practiced using adjectives that compare in sentences.
In Math class today we took our test on addition and subtraction with and without regrouping. Tomorrow we will begin a new chapter which focuses on mental math.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Gym day. Don't forget your sneakers!
