More Fun With Shapes!

Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a nice day.

In Religion class today, we talked about how God promised to send us a Savior. Jesus would bring grace to all and open the gates of heaven.

We continued our week of learning in Language Arts. We began by reviewing our oral vocabulary words from yesterday and then learning three more words (height, model, and separate). Next we worked on rereading as we read a nonfiction piece on different maps. Following that we used our letter tiles to spell and read words with the digraphs ch, tch, wh, and ph. Then, we learned how to read words with the inflectional ending -es. After that we practiced using our sight words in sentences. We ended our morning focused on comprehension; this week we are focusing on main idea and details. We reread our story from yesterday and our decodable reader; after reading each story we wrote its main idea and key details.

This afternoon in Language Arts we practiced using irregular plurals in sentences. We also focused on our writing. Today, we drew a picture of an animal and wrote a sentence about it.

In Math class today we learned about the three dimensional shapes: sphere, cube, cone, cylinder, rectangular prism, and pyramid. We looked at which shapes stack, roll, and slide.

Have a great night!
