Apple Sampling!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I don't know about you, but this week has gone by so quickly.

In Religion class today, we talked about how our soul helps us to know God, love God, and serve God.

In Language Arts class, we answered questions using our oral vocabulary words, read short o words, and put words in ABC order. We also reviewed our sight words by playing "Apple Man". The goal was to guess the word before the apple man was drawn. I am happy to report that the children won all 4 times. To build our fluency, we partner read a story from our decodable reader booklets. We ended by practicing writing sentences with correct punctuation.

After all of that hard work, it was time for some apple fun. We began by tasting three different types of apples: red, yellow, and green ones.

Next, we the students voted on their favorite one and we recorded our answers on a graph. Surprisingly, no one like the red apple the best.

Finally, we wrote about why we liked the one we did.

In Math class today, we practiced writing subtraction sentences for pictures. The key for us to remember is that we need to count back.

We ended our day with Gym. Today, we went to the Gym and played scarecrow tag.

Have a wonderful night!
