Greetings! Happy Picture Day! The students were quite excited for picture day today. They all showed Officer White their smiles as we headed to take our pictures!
In Religion class today, we read the creation story. We then watched a video on the creation story. We will continue to talk about the creation story tomorrow.
Our Language Arts class was a bit disruptive today between pictures, the nurse's visit, and computer help. We were really excited that Boddle was working today. Of course, it worked when tech support was here. I'm hoping it works tomorrow when tech support is not around.
We did make it through our day of learning. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words learned yesterday and learned three new words today (companion, groom, popular). We then worked on visualization as we read about different pets. Next, we used our letter folders to spell and read words with l-blends. Following that, we learned to make most words plural we add an -s. We practiced spelling and reading -s plural words. We ended our morning by using our sight words in sentences.
This afternoon in Language Arts, we reread A Pig for Cliff. We then wrote about what makes the story a fantasy and about the characters, setting, and events in the story. We ended our day by color coding sentences based on whether they were a statement or a question.
In Math class today, we looked at whether a number sentence was true or false. We will be practicing more tomorrow.
Have a great night!
