Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend!
In Religion class today, we wrapped up our chapter on Adam and Eve living in the Garden of Eden. We also prayed the first decade of the Sorrowful Mysteries.
After Religion, we headed over to church for a meet and greet with Philip Tan. He told the students to always listen to God and stay close to him. God will lead them into deciding what to do in the future.
We began a new week of learning in first grade; this week we are reading about buildings. We began by learning two oral vocabulary words (shelter and materials). Next, we worked on making predictions as we read 3 Little Dassies. Following that, we learned how to blend and read short u words.
This afternoon in Language Arts we learned our new sight words (could, live, one, then, three). We then read Cubs in a Hut which helped us practice our new skills. We ended our day by learning about singular and plural nouns.
In Math class today, we began our chapter on the numbers to 20. We talked about ways to count and reviewed counting to 10.
Have a great night!
