No Lights, No Problem!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone had a nice day!

Our day was filled with excitement. We lost power a little before lunch time. But, because the sun was shining, we were still able to continue with our learning. We opened the blinds, let the light in, and had a great day of learning.

In Religion class today, we talked about what happened because Adam and Eve sinned. We talked about how they had to leave the Garden of Eden, how they would have to work for food, how the gates of Heaven were closed, and how they lost grace.

In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words and practiced reading short u words, contractions, and our sight words. To build our fluency and comprehension skills, we partner read a story from our decodable reader booklets. We also read the funny story The Pigs, the Wolf, and the Mud. After reading this story, we wrote about its characters, setting, and events. Finally, we practiced writing plural nouns.

In Math class today, we learned about the comparison symbols > and <. The students had so much fun writing them. They kept asking for more problems!

We ended our day with Gym. Today, we headed outside to enjoy the sunshine!

Have a great night!
