Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone's week is going well.
In Religion class today, we talked about how God put Adam and Eve in charge of his creation. He wanted them to be good stewards. We talked about how we can by good stewards. We ended class by praying the second decade of the Luminous Mysteries.
We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We began by reviewing our oral vocabulary words and by learning three more words (astonishing, equipment, fortunately). Next, we used our letter tiles to spell and read short e words. After that, we learned about the ending -ed. We talked about how when added to a word that it means something already happened. We practiced reading words ending in -ed. Following that, we practiced using our sight words in sentences. We ended our morning focusing on comprehension. We reread Good Job, Ben and writing about what could really happen in the story and events in the story.
This afternoon we reviewed nouns. We sorted nouns based on whether they named a person, place, or thing.
In Math class today, we continued to review subtracting. We wrote a subtraction problem and used our critical thinking skills to solve problems.
We ended our day by going over to church and praying the rosary with the whole school. Our junior high students did a great job leading us in prayer.
Have a great night!
