Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone had a nice day. The children are quite excited for their four day weekend!
In Religion class today, we talked about how we receive God's grace when we were baptized. We also prayed the fourth and fifth decades of the Luminous Mysteries.
We wrapped up another week of learning in Language Arts. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences, practiced reading short e words and words with inflected endings. We also wrote sentences using our sight words and took our weekly assessment. To build our fluency and comprehension skills, we partner read a story from our decodable reader booklets and a nonfiction story about firefighters. Finally, we practiced finding nouns in sentences.
In Math class today, we took our chapter test on subtraction. Next week, we will begin to learn the numbers to 20.
We ended our day with Social Studies. Today, we began our Junior Achievement lessons. Our focus today was on our family and neighborhood. We had lots of fun completing our picture book and writing about ourselves.
Have a wonderful weekend! See you on Tuesday!
