Noun Town!

Greetings! Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day today. It was so nice outside. It was hard to come in.

In Religion class today, we talked about how God created Adam and Eve and how Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. We also began praying the Luminous Mysteries today.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts; this week we are reading about jobs in our community. We began by learning two new oral vocabulary words (community and occupation). We then worked on making predictions as we read Millie Waits for the Mail. After that, we learned how to blend and read short e words. Next, we learned our new sight words (again, help, new, there, use). We ended our morning by reading Good Job, Ben which helped us practice our new skills.

This afternoon in Language Arts, we learned that nouns name a person, place, thing, or animal. We created a noun house to help us remember this.

In Math class today, we began reviewing subtracting within 10. The students are doing very well with writing subtraction sentences.

We ended our day with Gym class. Today, we went outside. How could we not?

Here is a picture of our mosaic candy corn.

Have a great night!
