Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is adjusting to the change in temperatures.
In Religion class today, we wrapped up our chapter on Adam and Eve sinning. We reviewed what happened when they sinned and how God promised to send us a Savior.
In Language Arts, we answered questions using our oral vocabulary words, read words with end blends, words with the inflectional ending -ing, and our sight words. To build our fluency and comprehension, we partner read a story in our decodable reader booklets. We also read a poem about the ocean. After that, we practiced writing possessive nouns. Finally, we did some creative writing. We wrote about what we would do if we were a scarecrow. We added that to a scarecrow craft.
In Math class today, we began our chapter on addition and subtraction within 20. We practiced telling addition stories for a picture and reviewed adding and subtracting within 10.
In Social Studies today, we talked about needs and wants. We talked about how needs are things we must have: food, water, clothes, and shelter. We also talked about how wants are things we would like but are not necessary.
Have a great night!
