Mummy Art!

Greetings! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a nice day to end their week.

At Mass this morning, we remembered St. Ignatius of Antioch. This was also our first Faith Family mass of the year.

We wrapped up another week of reading in Language Arts. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences, spelled and read short u words and contractions, wrote sentences using our sight words, and took our weekly assessment. We also worked on our fluency and comprehension skills. We partner read a story from our decodable reader booklets and read a short nonfiction piece about homes around the world. Finally, we practiced writing plural nouns.

In Math class today we practiced ordering numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least. Again, the children had tons of fun doing this.

In Science class today, we talked about camouflage and how it helps animals. We practiced finding moths hidden on trees. We also talked about how camouflage can help the predator.

We ended our week with Art class. Today, we created a mummy using a paper plate and paper towels. I'll post pictures next week!

Have a great weekend!
