Music in the Air!

Today was a fabulous day in first grade. This afternoon, we were treated to a wonderful concert by the Band and 8th Grade students. We loved hearing the music and tapping our feet to the beat. We especially loved the synchronized swimming part of the show. Many of us are excited to one day join the band and learn to play a musical instrument or two.

But, before we went to the concert, we had learning to do. In Language Arts, we learned to read VCV syllable words. We also practiced our sight words and worked in our literacy centers.

Because of the concert, we did not have a new Math lesson today. Instead, we reviewed facts and practiced our Math skills during the Math meeting.
