Holy Week

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather not only this weekend but today. It was absolutely gorgeous outside; we loved every minute of it during recess.

Our day began in Religion class. Today we began our talk on Holy Week. Our focus today was on the events of Palm Sunday. We read and talked about the story of Jesus' triumphant ride into Jerusalem. We then made mosaic palm branches to help us remember what the people said and did as he rode into the city. Here is a picture of our palm branches.

Next up was Language Arts. We learned how to blend and read words with ow sound like in cow. We also talked about characters, setting, and plot of a story. In addition we learned about command sentences. Finally, we read a story about frogs and took notes on what we learned. This is the topic of our informative paragraph this week.

In Math class today, we learned about geometric solids particularly cones and spheres.

I was so excited today that everyone remembered a treasure to share with the class. Our treasures included pictures, statues, books, electronics, and much more. I loved hearing why students treasure these objects. Thank you so much for helping the students partake in this event!

Have a great night!
