I hope everyone had a nice day and were able to stay warm. I could not get over the temperature difference this morning. Thankfully, spring officially begins in one week.
We had a great and busy day in first grade. During Language Arts class, we reviewed long a spelled ai and ay. We also reviewed possessives. We partner read our story and completed a character map for Vashti. We discussed how her feelings changed over the story and concluded that she is a realistic character. We also talked about adjectives and completed adjective phrases. Finally we wrote the second sentence in our paragraph about why we love recess.
In Math class today we learned new facts. We learned the facts with a sum of 10. We will be practicing these facts over the next several days.
Just a reminder that the Spelling test is tomorrow.
