Greetings on this Wacky Wednesday! I just loved seeing how creative the students were today. They really enjoyed it!
We began our day with Religion class. Today we talked about all the ways a parish helps people both locally and far away.
We wrapped up another week of learning in Language Arts class. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences, read long o words and words with open syllables, used our vocabulary words in sentences, and wrote sentences using our sight. After that we partner read Vulture View. We also read a poem about a mouse in the winter and completed pages in our close reading companion. We ended the morning by taking our weekly assessment and using go and do in sentences.
This afternoon's Language Arts class was devoted to Dr. Seuss. We read If I Ran the Zoo. Following that, the students created their own animals to put in the zoo. They were quite creative! Dr. Seuss would be proud!
We began a new chapter of learning in Math today. The focus for this chapter is the numbers to 40. Today, we practiced counting to 40 by first counting by 10s and then counting on. We also added a ten and number to get a number (like 20 +6). The students did very well with this!
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Gym day. Don't forget your sneakers! Tomorrow is also Fox in Socks Day. Students can wear crazy socks to school!
