Graphing Fun!

Greetings! Today was yet another busy and productive day in first grade! In Religion class this morning we wrapped up our chapter on Jesus and the Eucharist. We reviewed what Jesus said and did at the Last Supper, what the Eucharist is, and what we do at Mass.

In Language Arts class we reviewed our sight words, diphthong ow, and syllables C+le words. We then partner read our story to build our fluency and created a flip chart for the story which helped build our comprehension skills. To finish the morning, we worked in our literacy centers. This afternoon we practiced identifying and writing exclamations. We also wrote the detail sentences in our paragraph on sharks.

Graphing was the theme for Math class today. We created a graph showing different vegetables we like. We then wrote sentences describing our observations from the graph. Here is how everything turned out:

Have a wonderful night!
