Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a great week. Today was one awesome day of learning in first grade. By the end of the day, the students were ready for a nap. We learned so much today.
In Religion class we wrapped up our chapter about Jesus being the Light of the World. We reviewed why Jesus has this title, how we can share His light with others, and what it means to be peacemakers.
Language Arts class began with a review. We reviewed our sight words, suffixes -ly and -ful, and the vowels in moon. We then read our story Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Hopper's House. The students loved this story and were quite excited to read it tonight to you.
For Gym class today we went outside and enjoyed the sunshine. It was nice to spend some time outside playing with friends. The students loved having gym class a second time this week.
In Math class today, we talked about dividing pieces equally. Using linking cubes, we divided them among friends so that everyone had an equal share. The students did a great job listening during Math class today!
Just a reminder that tomorrow is a Jean Day for all of those who have turned in a Healthy Hawk Walk envelope. Have a great night!
