The Final Monday in April!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The students had a great time over the weekend. I love hearing all that they did. It is a great way to start a Monday.

We began our day with Religion class. We talked about how we remember what Jesus said and did at the Last Supper every time we go to Mass. We do this by celebrating the sacrament of Eucharist. We learned that the Eucharist is Jesus' body and blood.

During Language Arts class we blended and read words with the diphthong ou. We used our letter tiles to spell words and generated a long list of words in the words families -ound, -ouch, and -out. Next we talked about sequence of events in a story and how looking for key words helps us put events in order. Finally, we discussed exclamation sentences. We learned that these sentences are meant to be read with strong feeling.

For Math class today we used linking cubes to help us solve 4 new addition facts. We also completed our fact cards that went along with these facts.

Have a wonderful evening!
