Greetings! Happy Tuesday! Isn't it such a beautiful day outside? God has truly blessed us with this beautiful, warm weather!
For Religion class today, we went to Adoration. We spent quiet time praying to God asking him to help those who need help and asking him to help us have a fantastic day.
Language Arts was a mixture of old and new today. We began by reviewing the oral vocabulary words we learned yesterday and then by learning three new words today. We continued to work on making predictions as we read a nonfiction piece about jobs around the town. Next, we practiced reading short e words. First we practiced reading the words, and then we used our letter tiles to spell and read words. After that we talked about the inflected ending -ed. We learned that when -ed is added to the end of the word that action has already happened. We practiced reading words and using them in sentences. We ended our morning by reviewing our sight words.
This afternoon we reread Good Job Ben and wrote about the characters, setting, and events in the story. We then read our decodable reader and answered questions about that story. Following that we reviewed nouns. Students worked with a partner to list examples of nouns before completing a flipbook of examples. We ended our day by adding a firefighter to the writing we did yesterday.
Math class was a mixture of learning today as well. First we put on our thinking caps to solve grids. We had to find numbers that added up or subtracted to a certain number. Then we learned how to use a calendar to find dates. Lastly, we learned how to solve a number sentence when one number is missing.
Enjoy this beautiful night!
