Friday with Frankenstein!

Greetings! Happy Friday! It is hard to believe that the first week of October has come and gone. I really enjoyed my day with the students today. It is amazing to watch how much they have grown so far in first grade.

We began our day by attending Mass. It is always nice to attend Mass with our school family!

In Language Arts today we wrapped up another week of learning. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences. Then we practiced reading r blend and s blend words and completing a possessive phrase. After that we wrote sentences using our sight words. We wrapped up the morning by taking our weekly test and identifying telling and asking sentences.

In Math class today we learned how to determine whether a number sentence was true or false. Using our number lines helped us. We will continue to practice this next week.

In Science class today we talked about how adult animals care for their babies. We also noticed that some baby animals look like their parents while others do not.

Finally, it was time for Art. Today we made Frankenstein. They look awesome. I can't wait to put them in the hall!

Enjoy your weekend!
