Greetings! What a beautiful spring, I mean winter, day. Oh, how we are loving this weather in first grade. This gorgeous weather has not stopped our zest for learning.
Today in Religion we talked about how Jesus showed his love for God. We learned that he prayed, sang, and danced.
In Language Arts we began by reviewing. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words, long o words, open syllable words, sight words, and vocabulary words. After all of that reviewing it was time to put our skills to work. We partner read a story in our decodable reader booklets. We then read and discussed Vulture View, a story about how vultures spend their day. After reading that story we completed pages in our close reading companion. We finished class by practicing using go and do in sentences.
In Math class today we took our test on the numbers to 40. Tomorrow we will begin learning how to add without regrouping.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Thursday which means it is Gym day!
