Greetings! Happy Wednesday! I don't know about you but this week is just flying by. Time flies when you are having fun!
In Religion class today we learned that name of the seven sacraments and talked briefly about each one.
In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words, practiced reading long i words, read and spelled words with inflected endings when the y is changed to an i, and used our sight words and vocabulary words in sentences. After that our focused switched to reading. We partner read a story in our decodable readers. We then read Hi! Fly Guy. The students have been waiting to read this story all week and were not disappointed. They laughed and smiled while we read and discussed it. After reading the story we completed pages in our close reading companion. Finally, we practiced underlining titles in a sentence.
In Math class today we again reviewed adding two two-digit numbers. The students are doing fantastic knowing when to regroup and when not to regroup.
We ended our day by praying the Stations of the Cross with the school community.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Gym day! Remember your sneakers!
