Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone was able to enjoy that sunshine today. It was so nice to partake in it at recess. We are really enjoying this early spring weather.
For Religion today, we went over to Eucharistic Adoration. We spent time praying to Jesus and talking to him. It was a great way to start our day.
In Language Arts today we reviewed our oral vocabulary words. We worked on visualizing as we read a nonfiction piece about how certain bugs can hide. Next, we used our letter tiles to spell and read long i words. We then learned how to add endings on to words that end in y; first we change the y to an i and then add the ending. We wrapped up the morning by using our sight words and vocabulary words in sentences.
This afternoon we reread Creep Low, Fly High and talked about the point of view of the different characters. We then read our decodable reader and answered questions about the story. Next, we practiced using the verbs see and saw in sentences. Finally, we wrote the first two detail sentences in our paragraph on why we love recess.
We continue to practice addition in Math class. Today we reviewed how to add with and without regrouping. The students did great and knowing when and when not to regroup.
