Greetings! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. Thank you for making the remote learning day such a success. Today was a busy day to end the week.
At Mass today, Fr. Brian reminded us that every time we come to Mass we witness a miracle as the bread and wine become Jesus' body and blood. We also honored Mrs. Noonan who will be retiring at the end of the year. It was a great day to celebrate and thank her for all that she has done.
We wrapped up another week of learning in Language Arts. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences, read words with the vowel variant /a/ and words with vowel team syllables. We also wrote sentences using our sight words and took our weekly assessment. In addition, we read a poem and completed pages in our close reading companion that helped us with our comprehension. Finally, we practiced using possessive pronouns in sentences.
In Math class today we took our chapter assessment on adding and subtracting with and without regrouping. Next week, we will begin our chapter on graphs.
In Science class today, we talked about how an object can move by a push or a pull. We sorted pictures based on whether they showed a push or a pull.
After working hard all day, it was time to relax and complete an Art project. Today, we made a garden gnome? Aren't they cute?
