Learning Games!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a good week.

In Religion class today we wrapped up our chapter studying the Last Supper. We reviewed what happened at the Last Supper and how we still remember it every time we celebrate Mass. We also reviewed how the Eucharist is Jesus' greatest gift to us.

In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words, read words with the diphthongs oi and oy and final stable syllable words. We played "Draw the Bunny" (a version of Hangman) to practice our sight words. We also played a code cracker game where we used our vocabulary words in sentences to open a safe. After that we read a short piece about small houses and completed a page in our close reading companion. Then, we practiced using prepositions in sentences. Finally, we practiced our writing skills as we wrote three facts about bunnies. We added a craft to that.

In Math class we took our chapter test on the numbers to 120. Tomorrow we will begin our chapter on adding and subtracting to 120.

For Gym class today, we exercised to GoNoodle. The students really got into it today.

We ended our day with Social Studies. Today we talked about how people work to earn money. One place people can work is a factory. We watched some videos showing how assembly lines help make the work in a factory easier.

Have a great night!
