First Week of April!

Greetings! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

In Religion class today, we continued to look at the Last Supper. Today are emphasis was on how we remember what Jesus said and did at the Last Supper every time we go to Mass. We created a poster to help us remember this.

We began Language Arts by working in our small reading groups. We then began a new week of learning; this week we will be reading about buildings and other structures. We began by learning our five new oral vocabulary words (structure, contented, intend, marvelous, and project). We then asked and answered questions as we read a fable about a pig, goose, and sheep. Following that we learned how to blend and read words with the diphthongs oi and oy. After that we learned our new sight words and vocabulary words. We ended the morning reading The Joy of a Ship, a nonfiction story about the steps taken to build a ship.

This afternoon we learned about prepositions. We are working at learning some prepositions and identifying the phrases.

In Math class today, we worked with patterns. We used our hundred number chart to help us solve them. We are getting better with them.

Have a great night.
