Greetings! Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday with family and friends. I loved hearing the stories of Easter egg hunts and gifts from the Easter bunny today!
We began our day by going to Adoration. We spent some quiet time praying to Jesus and thanking God for raising Jesus from the dead.
We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We answered questions using our oral vocabulary words. We practiced segmenting words into phonemes. Next, we used our letter tiles to spell words with the /o/ sound. Then, we learned how to blend words with the suffixes -ful and -less and define them. After that we practiced using our sight words and vocabulary words in sentences. We ended the morning focused on comprehension; this week we are focusing on theme. We reread Super Tools and our decodable reader. After each story, we wrote about its theme.
This afternoon in Language Arts we practiced using pronouns in sentences. We also wrote a persuasive paragraph on why we love recess. The students were so proud that they wrote a paragraph all by themselves!
In Math class today, we practiced adding with and without regrouping. They are doing awesome with this!
We ended our day with Spanish. Today we learned the words for jacket, coat, skirt, gloves, shorts, and boots.
Have a great night!
