Cowboy and Cowgirl Fun!

Greetings! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a nice day to end the week.

At Mass this morning, Fr. Brian reminded us to always stand up for Jesus especially during Holy Week.

We wrapped up another week of learning in Language Arts. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences. We played memory matching words with diphthongs oi and oy and final stable syllable words to pictures. We wrote sentences using our sight words and took our weekly assessment. We even wrote a persuasive paragraph on why we love the zoo. Finally, we created a cowboy or cowgirl and wrote oi and oy words on the hat. Here is a picture.

In Math class today we revisited an old concept but added a new twist. We reviewed how to add without regrouping. This time we used numbers whose sum is less than 100.

In Science class, we talked about things that give off heat.

We ended our day with Art class. Today we listened to the story of Renchanka's Eggs. Afterwards, we painted a doily using watercolor paints. On Monday, we will cut an egg shape from the doily to make a decorative egg. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Have a great weekend!
