Welcome April!

Greetings! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great April Fool's Day!

At Mass today, Fr. Brian reminded us that God is in charge. We need to accept his will and not worry about what we want.

We wrapped up another week of learning in Language Arts. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences. We also read words with diphthongs ou and ow and words with inflected endings when we played Stinky Feet. In addition, we created a giant band-aid full of ou and ow words. After that we wrote sentences using our sight words and took our weekly assessment.

In Math class we continued our practice using the greater than and less than symbols. They are really enjoying drawing the alligator's mouth!

Science class was lots of fun today! We talked about light. We named things that give off light. We also talked about how shadows are made when something blocks the light. We used our flashlights to make shadows around the room. The students loved this. Thank you for sending in the flashlights to make our Science class such a success today!

We ended our day with Art class. Today, we made Easter chicks hatching from an egg. They are adorable!

Here are pictures from this week's Art project, last week's Art project, and the spring writing we did yesterday. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
