Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was exciting to hear from the students today all that they did over the weekend.
We started our day by watching a movie on the life of St. Patrick. We learned that he taught the people of Ireland about God.
During Language Arts class, we blended and read long e: ea words. During one activity, students wrote words in various word families. It was amazing to see all the words they knew in the -each, -eam, and -ean word families. Also in Language Arts, we talked about theme. In addition we learned about adjectives for colors and shapes. Finally, we did some St. Patrick Day writing. We wrote about three wishes we would tell a leprechaun.
In Math class we learned how to order numbers from least to greatest. Everyone was given a number card. They then had to put themselves in order from least to greatest.
