A "Monster-ish" Day!

Greetings! Today was a busy yet fun day to end our week. We had smiles and laughs all day long.

We began our day with Mass. Today, Msgr. Lockard reminded us that as long as we come to Jesus, He will help us with our work. He will guide us as we complete it and calm our fears.

In Language Arts class, we wrapped up yet another week of learning. We practiced using our sight words in sentences. We read short o words, put words into ABC order, and wrote sentences using our sight words. We took our weekly assessment and reviewed questions and exclamations.

In Math class today we acted out real world addition stories. We wrote the number bonds to solve the problem and the number sentence to go with it.

In Science class we talked about the basic needs of animals. We said that all animals need food, water, shelter, and air in order to live.

Finally, after working hard all week, it was time for Art class. Today we made monsters. The students especially loved that the monster's teeth is candy corn. I will say they look amazing. They are all such talented artists. I'll post pictures on Tuesday once all of the messy glue dries.

Just a reminder that the students do not have school on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend. See you on Tuesday!
