A Typical Tuesday!

Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a great day!

We began our day with Religion class. Today we talked about how John the Baptist prepared people for Jesus. He told them to get ready, be kind, share, and be fair.

We began Language Arts just like yesterday by working in our literacy centers. After that we reviewed our oral vocabulary words we learned yesterday and learned three new words today (astonishing, equipment, and fortunately). We then used our letter tiles to spell and read short e words. Next, we learned about the inflectional ending -ed. We know that -ed means it already happen and that we read the base word, ending, and then put it together. Following that we practiced using our sight words in sentences. We ended our morning by rereading Good Job, Ben and writing about the characters, setting, and events in the story.

This afternoon we read our decodable reader and answered questions about it. We also practiced sorting nouns. We ended the day by writing in our journals.

In Math class, we continue to work on subtraction. Today we practiced counting back to solve problems.

Enjoy your night!
