Fire Safety Week!

Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. The students really seemed to enjoy that extra day at home.

We began our day by going to Adoration. We spent some quiet time talking to Jesus and growing closer to home. Back in the classroom, we prayed our rosary. This week we are praying the Luminous Mysteries.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts. We began by learning two new oral vocabulary words (exercise and physical). We then worked on answering questions from a text as we read Move!. Then we learned how to blend and read r-blend and s-blend words; the key is to look closely at the word and say all of the sounds. Following that we learned our new sight words. We ended our morning by reading a nonfiction story called Move and Grin

This afternoon in Language Arts we practiced writing sentences correctly. We then talked about fire safety in honor of Fire Safety Week. We talked about some safety rules to follow if there is ever an emergency at home. We wrote some of the rules on bones and added them to a dalmatian craft.

In Math class today we solved addition word problems by writing number sentences. We did very well with this.

Have a good night!
