In Religion class today we talked about the Christmas story. We are beginning to look at the life of Jesus. We begin at his birth, go to his public ministry, and end with his resurrection. We learned today that Jesus was born in Bethlehem in a stable.
In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words and read short o words along with our sight words. We also practiced putting words into ABC order. After that our focus switched to building our fluency and comprehension. We partner read a story in our decodable reader booklets. We also read Friends, a nonfiction story about two friends. After reading that story we completed pages in our close reading companion. We ended our day by reviewing questions and exclamations; the students are doing a good job at differentiating between the two.
In Math class today, we wrote addition sentences by looking at a picture. The students did very well with writing them.
