Greetings! Welcome back! I was totally taken by surprise by yesterday's snow day! Again, thank you for your patience while I prepared for our online learning.
In Religion today, we talked about by having faith and trust in Jesus, he will help us.
We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We answered questions using our oral vocabulary words. We also used our letter tiles to spell and read r-controlled -er, -ir, -ur, and -or words. Then, we learned how to read and define words that end with the inflectional ending -er. Following that, we practiced using our sight words in sentences. We ended the morning focusing on our comprehension; this week we are looking at cause and effect. We reread A Bird Named Fern and wrote cause and effect examples from the story. We also read our decodable reader and answered cause and effect questions about that story.
This afternoon in Language Arts we practiced working with adjectives. We identified them in sentences and wrote sentences using adjectives.
In Math class today, we practiced subtracting with and without regrouping. The students did very well with this.
We ended our day with Stations. We spent time walking with Jesus.
Here is a picture from our finished St. Patrick's Day writing we did on Monday.
Have a great night!
