Greetings! Happy Thursday! And Welcome back baseball! As many of you know, I am a huge baseball fan. Today is Opening Day! And, to make things better, the Pirates won!
In Religion class today we wrapped up our chapter on the Eucharist. We reviewed the Last Supper. We talked about how Jesus blessed bread and wine and how the bread and wine turned into his Body and Blood. We also talked about how we remember the Last Supper every time we go to Mass.
We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words by answering questions using them. We used our letter tiles to spell and read ou and ow words. Next, we read and spelled words that have the inflectional ending -er and -est. Then, we practiced using our sight words and vocabulary words in sentences. We ended our morning focusing on comprehension; this week we are once again looking at problem and solution. We reread our story from yesterday and wrote about the story's problem, steps to solve it, and the solution. When we read our decodable reader, we identified whether a sentence was a problem, step to the solution, or solution.
In Math class today, we used our linking cubes to measure objects. We measured the length of our desks, my desk, and books.
We finished our day with Social Studies. Today we looked at the difference between wants and needs.
Have a great night!
